Roberts Krigers ensured the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Voodoo Spring Main Event title stayed on Latvian soil with a comprehensive victory at the Olympic Voodoo Casino. The €1,100 buy-in Main Event drew in 141 entrants, who created a €133,950 prize pool. Krigers snared a cool €33,300 of that princely sum, the winner's trophy, and the title of champion.
Seventeen players finished in the money, including Raivis Pucurs and Arasch Mirzai, players who triumphed in side events. The nine-handed final table was set when Min Sung Lee of South Korea busted in tenth, with each of those finalists locking in €3,820 for their efforts.
OlyBet Showdown Voodoo Spring Main Event Final Table Results
Rank | Player | Country | Prize |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Roberts Krigers | Latvia | €33,300 |
2 | Martynas Mockevicius | Lithuania | €21,710 |
3 | Ott Jaakson | Estonia | €15,500 |
4 | Glen Gaines | United Kingdom | €11,580 |
5 | Petteri Laiho | Finland | €8,790 |
6 | Joona Koivisto | Finland | €7,030 |
7 | Jurgis Beinoras | Lithuania | €5,790 |
8 | Michel Leibgorin | France | €4,750 |
9 | Jevgenijs Zotovs | Latvia | €3,820 |
Latvia's Jengenijs Zotovs was the first casualty of the final table, bowing out in ninth for €3,820. Last September, Zotovs came agonizingly close to capturing a World Series of Poker Circuit ring, finishing second in the €660 No-Limit Hold'em PKO event in nearby Tallinn, Estonia.
Michel Leibgorin was eliminated in eighth for €4,750. The Frenchman was by far the most experienced play at the final table, at least in terms of prize money won. Leibgorin, who early won the €555 No-Limit Hold'em Championship for €17,685, now has more than $2.2 million in live tournament cashes.
Seventh-place and a career-best €5,790 went to Jurgis Beinoras of Lithuania, before two Finnish grinders, Joona Koivisto and Petteri Laiho, departed, leaving only four players in the hunt for the title.
Glen Gaines of Reading, United Kingdom, saw his latest OlyBet deep run end in a fourth place finish worth €11,580. You may recall that Gaines was crowned the 2022 Tallinn Summer Showdown Main Event champion, a result that earned the Brit €62,400. This was Gaines' 101st recorded live score, and it pushed his live earnings over the €460,000 mark.
The heads-up stage was reached following the untimely demise of Estonia's Ott Jaakson in third. Jaakson banked a career-high €15,457 in March 2025 after taking down the €500 Chesterfield 500 event. This third-place finish came with a prize weighing in at €15,500, beating Jaakson's previous best by €43!
Both heads-up players were guaranteed their largest-ever score regardless of where they now finished; Martynas Mockevicius has zero entries on his Hendon Mobprofile at the time. The one-on-one battle went the way of Robert Krigers, who took home €33,300, topping his previous best prize by €32,014. Mockevicius got off the mark with a €21,710 consolation prize.
