WSOP Cherokee Tables Flipped

The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) Main Event at Harrah's Cherokee erupted into chaos on Sunday as a man flipped over three poker tables in an apparent fit of rage.

The incident took place on Day 2 of the $1,700 buy-in Main Event with 65 players left. A video posted to X by four-time Circuit ring winner David Moses shows several tables overturned inside the Harrah's ballroom with players looking on in disbelief.

"Somebody's banned for life," Moses says in the video.

The individual has not yet been identified, despite speculation in the above video and on social media.

Wild Incident at Poker Table

Security escorted the man out of the tournament area. One player at the event said the man was shouting that god told him to do it, according to a player in attendance who spoke with PokerNews.

The Main Event went on an extended pause while staff reacted to the situation. Moses wrote on X that the two scenarios as he saw them would be to "reconstruct stacks such that ... everyone agrees that's ballpark what they had AND the cameras confirm ballpark what they had" or the 65 player remaining players agree to an even chop.

Additional video shared by World Poker Tour (WPT) Executive Tournament Director Matt Savage shows a player with long dark hair lifting and flipping a table before being held on the ground by several players.

"Get off of me! I'm not hurting anyone!" the man yells.

Savage called the incident a "tournament directors biggest nightmare" and a "long arduous process" requiring player's "honesty, patience, and assistance."

Harrah's Cherokee is one of the top WSOP Circuit destinations. The current 18-ring series began Feb. 13 and runs through Feb. 24 in Cherokee, North Carolina.
